Today, Roman Shults, a visiting professor from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia, held a scientific seminar on the topic "Implementation and Deployment of Monitoring Projects".

The seminar was attended by the teaching staff of the Department of Automation, Information Technology and Urban Planning, teachers of the MSOE Higher College of Geodesy, Cartography and Construction of the Department of Education of the Abai region, partners of the department of GEOID LLP, representatives of the Land Cadastre Department of the branch of the NJSC State Corporation of Government for Citizens in the Abai region.

During the seminar, Professor Roman Shults shared his experience in the implementation of geospatial monitoring projects at the international area, focused on the latest technologies (FEM Simulation, machine learning) and tools for monitoring civil, industrial facilities and geodynamic monitoring.

In addition, the participants of the seminar discussed the directions of development of geospatial monitoring, problems arising during the renewal of the state geodetic networks of the country, issues of modernization of architectural structures of the city of Semey with preservation of appearance.
