In May 2023, the department held an Olympiad on the subject "Geodesy" among students of colleges of Semey city, such as: SОЕ "Higher college of geodesy and cartography", SОЕ "Geological Exploration College" and others. In total 16 participants took part. The Olympiad was organized to stimulate academic activity and develop professional skills of students in the field of geodesy. Participation in the event gave the students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, as well as to exchange experience with colleagues from other educational institutions.
